סלטה הוקמה בשנת 2006 על ידי הצלם יובל נבון. עם הקמתה הביאה רוח חדשה לאזור והפכה למוסד קולינרי מקומי ומקום מפגש לאוהבי אוכל ואומנות. במסעדה שני אזורים, עם הכניסה לחלק הקדמי יש תחושה של משהו משפחתי, ניחוחות של בישול ומראה מזמין. בחלק הפנימי מתגלה חצר קסומה ומעוררת השראה המאפשרת לאורחינו בילוי אינטימי ומלא הנאה.
