Start with a glass of wine near the pedestrian street, pass through the market, and continue between lunch, courtyards, aperitivo, and dinner. This is the route that lets you taste Nahalat Binyamin stop by stop, without getting in a car between spots.

There are streets you visit for one restaurant, and streets where the walk itself is part of the meal. In Nahalat Binyamin you can start while the sun is still high, step into the lanes of Carmel Market, return to the main strip, and move between glasses of wine, small plates, pasta, and cocktails.

The following route is not an invitation to eat 10 meals in one day. Pick a few stops, share something small at each place, and keep walking. You can open with wine, pause for lunch served until the afternoon, catch aperitivo hours, and finish at a bar that brings the evening back to the northern end of the neighborhood.

11:00 Start the day with wine in the courtyard

The crawl opens at Nahalat Binyamin 3, in a courtyard that lets you ease into the rhythm of the street. Wine garden is a kosher wine bar and culinary spot, with bottles from Israeli wineries, sharing plates, and tables that feel a bit removed from the traffic around them.

It’s a good stop to open the route with a first glass and something small on the side. On weekends you can also drop by during the day, but leave room for what’s ahead.

13:00: Step into the market’s rhythm at ZOHAR BAR

Leave the courtyard and turn onto HaShomer Street, which connects Nahalat Binyamin directly to Carmel Market. ZOHAR BAR sits at the point where daytime stalls give way to tables, glasses, and music, with a menu influenced by the ingredients just steps away.

Here it’s worth ordering a small plate or pizza to share, drinking something cold, and feeling the shift from the market’s daytime energy to the nightlife zone waking up around it.

14:00: See what arrived today at Ha’Basta

A few steps further down HaShomer Street you’ll find Ha’Basta. The menu changes based on what comes in from the market and the sea, so there’s no need to arrive with a plan. Check what’s listed that day, ask for a recommendation, and add a glass of wine.

Sunday through Thursday, between 12:00 and 17:00, Ha’Basta’s business lunch specials are also available: every dish marked with a dot comes with a small side plate, and wine bottles get a 20% discount. It’s a stop especially suited to one seasonal dish, a glass or bottle for the table, and then back to Nahalat Binyamin to continue south.

15:30: Stop for a late lunch at Pereh

Return to the street and continue to Pereh, sitting at the corner of Nahalat Binyamin and Grozenberg. The restaurant serves lunch until 17:00 most days of the week, so it allows you to fit a midday meal into the route even if you started at a slower pace. On Saturdays, lunch ends at 16:30.

The menu at Pereh changes and leans on seasonal ingredients from the sea and the land. Instead of trying to order a lot, pick one or two dishes that suit the day, sit at the bar or by the windows, and leave room for the stops ahead.

Address: Nahalat Binyamin 27, Tel Aviv

17:00: Happy hour in Bicicletta’s courtyard

From Pereh continue a bit and step into Bicicletta’s green courtyard. The shift from the street to the greenery, lighting, and music immediately changes the pace, even though all the action of Nahalat Binyamin is just beyond the entrance.

This is the place to order a drink and a dish to share. You can go for something cold and refreshing or choose a more substantial plate, depending on how much room you left from lunch. In the afternoon and evening hours the courtyard fills up and the route starts to take on a nightlife feel.

18:30: A glass of wine at Benjamin 31

From Bicicletta to Benjamin 31 the distance is short, but the vibe shifts from a Tel Aviv courtyard to a darker wine bar, with music, glasses poured throughout the evening, and small plates that let you keep going without stopping for another full meal.

It’s a good transition stop between afternoon and night. Order a glass of wine or a classic cocktail, add a small plate, and let the street outside fill up before you move on.

    📍Address: Nahalat Binyamin 31

19:15: A drink and seasonal dish at A.K.A

The next stop is A.K.A at Nahalat Binyamin 44, a space that connects a chef’s restaurant, wine bar, and cocktail bar. Chef Itai Kushmaro leads an open kitchen with a seasonal menu, and moving between the rooms lets you choose whether to stop by the bar or order a dish facing the kitchen.

During the early hours on select days, the venue hosts Aperiti, so this is a natural point to add a drink and one dish from the menu to the route. From here the evening clearly shifts from daytime meals to the night’s drinks.

    📍Address: Nahalat Binyamin 44

20:30: Stop for dinner at Radler

From A.K.A continue a few steps south to Radler at Nahalat Binyamin 48. After a string of glasses and small plates, this is the point where the route gets a more proper dinner, with local cooking, a wine menu, and an active bar.

The intimate atmosphere lets you take a break from the street’s buzz, order a few dishes to share, and stay for another drink. It’s a stop suited both to a full meal and to a longer pause before you continue to the final stretch of the evening.

    📍Address: Nahalat Binyamin 48

22:00: Continue to pasta at Fifty and One

From Radler keep heading south to Fifty and One at Nahalat Binyamin 51. The Italian kitchen adds pasta, wine, and seasonal dishes to the route, right at the hour when you feel like adding something warm to the table before the final drink.

You can share one or two dishes, order another glass of wine, and keep the pace light. Pick a dish, sit for a bit, and walk on to Noema.

    📍Address: Nahalat Binyamin 51

    23:00: Final drink at Noema

From Fifty and One continue a few steps south to Noema at Nahalat Binyamin 59, the last stop on the route and the point where the evening shifts from a meal to a late-night drink. The bar keeps going until the early hours, so you can settle in without pressure, order a cocktail or glass of wine, and add a small plate if there’s room left.

The vibe at this hour is already dark, musical, and more crowded, with a crowd that comes specifically to start the night here or close an evening that began much earlier on the street. After a day of wine, market, lunch, courtyards, and pasta, Noema gives the route a natural ending that doesn’t require another move.

📍Address: Nahalat Binyamin 59, Tel Aviv

A good route through Nahalat Binyamin isn’t measured by how many places you hit, but by the transitions between them. A few minutes of walking separate a lit courtyard from a dim bar, Israeli wine from pasta, and the market from a cold glass of ouzo. Pick the stops that suit the hour and your appetite, and book ahead at the spot where you plan to stop for a meal.
